WW II German Aircraft Reflexvisier 16B – REVI 16B GUNSIGHT – Me109 Fw190 Me262

Out of stock

You are bidding on an EXTREMELY RARE example of a late-war WW2 German Luftwaffe “simplified” Refexvisier Revi 16B Gunsight!  This gun sight was used specifically in late-war aircraft such as the Me262, Me109, Fw190 and others!

The Revi16B was manufactured around 1942-1945, and was used until the end of the war.  This Gunsight entered production to replace the outdated Revi C12/D, and was designed with the Spitfire in mind.  The aiming reticle was made in such as way that a Spitfire would fit the aiming circle from edge to edge at 300m, and each increment marking represented 6 mils.  This was the main sight the pilot or gunner used when sighting targets (aircraft or ground).

Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel and dating around 1945, this is an AMAZING example.  Retains 95% of it’s original finish with the original bulb!  This is the LATE-WAR simplified version.  The standard Revi 16B had an additional darker glass mounted on an adjustable arm that the pilot could position when flying in brighter light.  As all pilots were wearing the shatterproof tinted goggles in the late stages of the war, this tinted glass and arm became redundant.  As such, the Revi Gun Sight was simplified by having this additional glass and arm removed (this also saved on production costs and materials).  This Revi is one of those rare “simplified” versions.  The data plate is 100% intact, and clearly indicates Revi 16B, Fl. 52955.  Has never been messed with or taken apart, and the reticle is 100% intact!  Clear glass is missing, but those come up on eBay quite a bit.  Would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
