WW II German Aircraft – KIENZLE COCKPIT CLOCK & PROP BASE – Ju52 Ar66 – NICE!

 Mounted on the main instrument panel, this clock needs no introduction.  It was made famous throughout the war as one of the standard German Aircraft Cockpit Clocks.  It was usually mounted on the front or side cockpit consoles and features an adjustable bezel.

Made of brass, aluminum, and wood, this first model Kienzle and Propeller Base was made between 1939 and 1945.  It is a VERY nice example and retains 90% of it’s original finish!  100% FUNCTIONAL, it is marked, “8 TAGE” (8-day) on the front, alongside the Luftwaffe number, Fl. 22602.  There are some slight scratches and marks, but is in otherwise EXCELLENT condition and the hands still glow at night (must be charged with UV light).  The base is made of two propeller sections, most likely from  a Ju52 or Ar66 (propellers were very similar in style).  I have shown its location in the last photo.  Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
