Description
This instrument measured the altitude of the aircraft using the surrounding air pressure. It was located on the main instrument panel of many early and late-war German aircraft.
Made of dark black bakelite, this is an AMAZING example, dating later in the war. The FL. number is clearly marked on the face, indicating Fl. 22320. There are some light marks and scratches, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance. 100% FUNCTIONAL (responds to air pressure), but not sure if airworthy. The millibar adjustment knob still functions 100% correctly! This was brought back by a US Veteran who removed this (along with the blind panel) from the aircraft. I have indicated it’s location in the last photos. A PERFECT item for any collection, display, or restoration project!
