Description
This instrument measured the altitude of the aircraft using the surrounding air pressure. This was a secondary altimeter that worked in conjunction with the automatic dive alarm. The pilot would set this altimeter to the correct height in which he wished to pull out of a diving bomb run. Once the aircraft reached that altitude, the aircraft would automatically pull out of the dive and return to parallel flight. It was located on the main instrument panel of the Ju-87, Ju-88, Me-110, and other destroyer (ground attack) aircraft. |
