Description
Made of lightweight fabric, this section is in AMAZING condition, and retains 95% of its original paint! Though it does feature some marks and wear due to the age, all colors are VERY BRIGHT! Camouflage consists of RLM76, along with various traces of an EARLIER RLM76 coat of paint. Originating from the lower wing, it was obviously over-painted a few times during the war. Based on the size, shape, and stitching lines, it is most likely from a DFS230 Assault Glider. I have indicated the location in the last photos. Original aircraft skin is EXTREMELY rare as it usually burned up or rotted away over time. A one-of-a-kind item which would make an FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
