You are bidding on a VERY RARE set of WW2 British RAF MK. IV B Pilot Flight Goggles! These were used by both fighter and bomber pilots throughout the war! The RAF Mk. IV Pilot Goggles were designed specifically for use with the RAF B type flying helmet, with the large elasticated loop straps designed to encircle the bulbous zipped receiver housings. Made of brass, faux leather fabric, glass, and steel, this is a NICE set of goggles. Some marks and wear throughout, due to the age, but nothing that detracts. The brass frames retain approx. 90% original paint and finish, with NO breaks or damage! Sadly, both the glass lenses have cracks in them, The rubber face cushions have hardened/broken over time, but that is quite common with this type. Elastic straps retains much of their elasticity. The nose pad has come off, but that should be easy to reattach. Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
