The MiG21 Aircraft Joystick was mounted directly between the pilots legs, and gave him control of the aircraft, weapons (MG, Cannon, Bombs, Autopilot, and Radio).
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-21; NATO reporting name: Fishbed) is a supersonic jet fighter and interceptor aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. Its nicknames include: “Balalaika”, because its planform resembles the stringed musical instrument of the same name; “Ołówek”, Polish for “pencil”, due to the shape of its fuselage,[2] and “Én Bạc”, meaning “silver swallow”, in Vietnamese.
Made of aluminum, and steel, this grip is most likely from a 2nd Generation PF or PFM model, and would have been manufactured between 1970 and 1986. Removed from a wrecked aircraft, it has some slight marks and wear, but is otherwise VERY solid! All buttons are 100% original and functional (though one of the Autopilot Button is broken (see photo). Other buttons include: Cannon/Missile Trigger; Trim Control Hat; Drop Tank Release; Bomb/Rocket Release; and Panic/Return to Horizontal Flight Emergency Button. Features some clear Russian writing and markings, as well as some part numbers cast into the side. As it was removed from an aircraft, the original wiring loom is still present (though cut). I have shown the EXACT type of aircraft it was removed from, as well as the location in the last photos. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!

It set aviation records, becoming the most-produced supersonic jet aircraft in aviation history, the most-produced combat aircraft since the Korean War and, previously, the longest production run of any combat aircraft.
