You are bidding on an EXCELLENT set of WW2 British Ross 7×50 Binocular No.5…but with Carl Zeiss “Binoctar” Plates (?). Not sure of the plates were added post-war…but something does not seem right, as Zeiss never made the Binoct in this style.
Made by Ross of a large tooled alloy and aluminum construction, these 7×50 power binoculars are in GOOD used condition! The lens bodies retain about 90% of their original, rough textured, black finish. The aluminum end piece fittings retain about 90% of their original finish, as well as the bakelite eye cups. Some slight chips and wear, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance. The focus adjustments still function perfectly (though a bit stiff) on both eye pieces, but there is some spotting as you can see in the photos. Alignment is good. Though I am fairly confident these are ROSS, and NOT Carl Zeiss, they are marked with the impressed designation, “Carl Zeiss Binoct 7×50”. Also attached is the original strap (broken). A good example, it would make a great addition to any collection!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
