You are bidding on a VERY RARE and 100% ORIGINAL 1944 edition of “Skizzenbuch” (Sketch Book), with artwork by acclaimed artist, Hans Liska!  This original publication features approx. 40 FANTASTIC drawings/sketches!

Hans Liska was born on November 19, 1907 in Vienna, Austria.  He was an Austrian artist, painter, commercial artist and illustrator.  He attended economic school and worked as a bureaucrat. A secondary job as a pianist helped him apply to University of Applied Arts Vienna. There he was a student of Berthold Löffler a friend of Oskar Kokoschka.

This EXTREMELY RARE art series is in SUPERB used condition!  Though there is some wear and marks, there are NO rips or tears on the art pages!  Originally commissioned by Junkers, it features approx. 40 images of watercolors and pencil sketches depicting the men and machines of the Army and Air Force!  One of the NICEST sketch series printed, many of these larger prints were later made into smaller postcards.  Would make a VERY RARE addition to any collection or display!
